As someone who owns several firearms of all price ranges, from a Staccato XC, to a Glock, Smiths and down to a Taurus g3c, I can say from personal experience, my g3c is one of my favorite pistols. Why? The grip texture is perfectly aggressive; most of my other guns move inside my grip once my hands get sweaty but not my g3c. It locks into my hands due to the very rough texture. The ergonomics are better than 99% of my other pistols. The recoil is moderate for its compact size aka very shootable. I love the recoil impulse; some guns are too snappy and uncomfortable to shoot. The gun points naturally and sights align easily. The trigger is better than both my smiths and my Glock; the reset is better than every one of my smiths and comparable to Glock. And last but not least, all of this on top of the price; bought mine for $230 brand new. My g3c is literally my 3rd favorite pistol out of my collection after my XC and my P. (Yes I own two Staccatos).

How much does this weight? I'm not a hunter but I want for recreational use. I have an AR-10, 16 inch by Ruger which is lightweight. I wouldn't want an AR-10 pistol though.

Makes you wonder if cops should consider using red dot lazers on their weapons to prevent what happened to Sonja with that stupid white cop. He didn’t have to shoot her in the face. I have the same weapon and I understand that the red dot can be turned off and on at your discretion, which is really convenient. The only problem I have with red dots is they have a tendency to give away your location especially at night if you happen to be in that situation.

Deep concealment or back up gun. Practice head shots. But two or three rounds to the chest can work too if you can't aim. The Mozambique three shot would be the best with one of these. And since you posted this, Federal came out with the .22 Mag 45 gr. Punch which is optimized for short barrels and gives 1150 fps which is basically .22LR rifle ballistics which is certainly adequate for 'get off me'.

That’s a big chonky boi. Why spend money on a Taurus when you can invest it on fn, Glock, Springfield, S&W & get better ergonomics & reliability. & if I’m not mistaken Taurus has the worst trigger aside from high point. Optic sits way too high on that Taurus. Non co witness iron sights. Looks goofy ngl. I mean you get what you pay for.

If you are in the US, be advised any shotgun with a barrel less than 18" long and or an over length under 26" is considered a sawed off shotgun under Federal law subject to the National Firearms Act (NFA) and illegal to own without registering it with the ATF and then only if the law of the state permits sawed off shotguns. Possession of a not registered NFA weapon is considered a serious Felony crime under US law. Measure the barrel from the muzzle to the back of the breech. Legal length M-66 barrels do exist and it is not hard to swap out a bad one a longer good one. Avoid legal problems. Destroy any barrel that is under a legal length. Footnote: Possession of short barreled shotguns (and rifles) did not become a Federal offense until 1968. Prior to that many gun makers offered them for self defense and security work. Many people had one. The M-66 originally had several barrel length options. When the law was passed the US provided a short amnesty period for owners of NFA weapons and devices (including machine guns and grenades, anti tank rockets, etc.) to register them with the ATF or turn them in for destruction. Many did so. Many others went to jail later for not doing so. A lawfully registered NFA device or weapon may only be possessed by the registrant and fter re-registration by their lawful heirs. They may also be sold, but the process includes a special Tax and ATF approval as well as local law enforcement approval. Not relevant, but the storage and transport conditions for NFA devices is also Federally regulated, for instance: you may not store a crate of live hand grenades or some live artillery shells in your hall closet in an apartment building. The items need to be in an ATF approved explosives storage bunker, etc. You also may not just throw them in the trunk of your car. A specially constructed and well marked vehicle is needed for transporting explosives. Consult with the ATF for more details.
